It’s finally here! Our in-house beauty guru shares all the details behind the new power tool we’ve been obsessing over at Honest Beauty HQ.
Our newest beauty, the Buffing Brush, is making its debut this week, and after experiencing it firsthand, we can’t live without it. It’s designed to buff, build and blend like a boss. Although it pairs perfectly with our Cream Foundation, this multipurpose wonder tool is ideal for applying any cream or liquid formulas.
To get a little more insight, we turned to one of our beauty gurus, Anna Del Carmen, for all the fun and good-to-know deets.
When do we use Honest Beauty Buffing Brush?
Anytime you’re applying Cream Foundation! Its dense bristles easily pick up creamy products and enhance a flawless complexion. We made sure the bristles are extremely soft, but also strong enough to buff out any harsh transition lines for a photo-ready finish.
Any application techniques we should use?
Start at the center of your face and move outward in a circular motion. I like to cover my neck to avoid any color changes from foundation to skin. Notorious for a heavy hand? Don’t worry if you applied too much. This brush will calm down any caked face by using the same circular motion to buff away excess product. Isn’t it the best when it’s that easy?!
Why a brush for a specific product?
Pairing a complexion product with a speciality brush offers optimized application and performance. Feels likes a no brainer!
What makes this brush different than others?
It’s simple, clean makeup deserves clean brushes. HB consciously chose to stray away from AZO dyes that have been found to be potential carcinogens. Yikes!! We sourced 100% FSC wooden handles and used water-based paint to avoid harsh chemicals. Our vendor has produced with eco-friendly and responsible water, air and polishing systems that does not harm the environment. Our goal is to insure our consumers are safe from product to applicator.
Refresh us… What AZO is exactly?
AZO is a synthetic dye found in some paints, which can release formaldehyde and volatile organic compounds. We’re def not a fan!
Are the bristles made from animal hair?
Nope! Its brush fibers are animal-free and made from renewable materials to leave the smallest carbon footprint.
