The 360-degree smoky eye. Since we first told you we’re obsessed with the look, we’ve tried it using a variety of colorways from mauve to blue to brown. Our favorite takes on the runway were from Alexander Wang and Bibhu Mohapatra.

The reinvented bang. They came in all shapes and sizes this season and were paired with tresses of all lengths. Don’t have patience for the trend? Try some clip-ons instead.

Glitterati. At HB HQ, we love all things radiant. This year, glow turned to glitter on several runways. Our fave? Opening Ceremony’s silver and gold sculpted cheekbones and flashy lids and lips. Even earlobes got the sparkly tatted effect. Burberry’s multi-colored glittered shadow played up the outer corners of eyes, a trend we’re definitely on board with.

Red-black lips. The new red lip for fall looks like crimson with undertones of black or in some cases, black with a barely there nod to red. Some shows took inspo from Rihanna and served up their black pouts with a touch of plum. What can we say? We love the drama.

Heavy metals. You can always expect a little industrial influence in the fall. This season’s take is inspired by earth tones and gemstones. Think coppers, figs, golds and silvers. We’re obsessed with Burberry, BCBG, Carmen Marc Valvo and Marissa Webb.

Patterned lids. Chanel and Tommy Hilfiger were up to their eyeshadows in style. They brought a square, almost houndstooth graphical element to the lids. While it might be challenging to recreate, we’re thinking its going to have to make the rounds at least once during holiday party season.

Messy braids. Anytime we can get away with an undone hair look that’s sexy, sign up us. The runway proved that the look is both hotter than ever and not just for summer anymore. We obsessed with the versions seen on Herve Leger, Roland Mouret and Kye.
